Kimberly Glutz is a Long Island photographer and digital artist. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Digital Art & Design at Long Island University, C.W. Post campus. Her design method intertwines with her belief that “if you feel something strongly enough you can get other people to feel it too,” and some have even mentioned that through her photographs you
can almost smell the fragrance of the flowers through the print.
Her latest series entitled “Petals” illustrates her passion for the beauty and eloquence of nature. “Flowers are only in full bloom momentarily before they wilt, their perfection is fleeting, so I wanted to capture their beauty and immortalize it in a photo for others to admire its grace long after the actual flower is gone.”
Her style is unique in the respect that Kimberly’s artistic expression sometimes resembles the look of both photograph and painting; in fact her creative influence combines the likes of both Georgia O'Keeffe and Robert Mapplethorpe. She has recently begun printing her artwork on stretched canvas to further that painterly feel even more.
New this season, Kimberly introduced her 4x4 inch framed ribbon hung home collection. You can custom order your photo and frame color to match your décor. This series will be in a traveling gallery exhibit & library tour blooming on display this spring and summer.
